[Crypto Fantasy VII]

I like it! The writing was pretty solid. Having Wedge be the guy to pull the "um, actually" and fly into a reddit rant about crypto was hilarious. The Marlene joke hit close to home as well lol ;_;
The voice acting was superb of course.
My qualms with it come from the artwork, namely the characters. I realize that art isn't your strong point, or even what you focus on relative to your voice over, but it is important at least for me. I wouldn't dare call them awful, just in need of improvement. Studing anatomy and, most importantly, appealing shapes would help you immensely. Also studing some other tween animators might help too! People like Jaltoid and Redminus, though I don't think they've made new stuff in ages :/

To surmize, writing and voice over are great, art leaves something to be desired. If you want help with anything you know how to find me buddy :)

Thanks Goo! You definitely understand my priorities and process. The hardest thing for me has always been the art, and the process of getting my jokes across with what skill I have. Particularly with animation, the journey toward the finish line is one that becomes a war of attrition and knowing where to cut corners so I can get the thing out the door. There came a point where I remember working on some of the final sequences with Sephiroth and feeling like he was drawn with more discipline than everything else up to that point, but not wanting to turn back and refine the rest because I just wanted to wrap up production and move on to the next.

This year has become a bit of a turning point for my outlook on me creating animations, and when I compare this to Merry Christmas Me Strife from December 2020, I see very explicitly how much I am improving at working in this medium. Now that I'm spending more time with artists like yourself in general, I am optimistic that I will develop my skills further so that the animation and art can catch up to the quality of my writing and voiceover.

In conclusion, it's not a hecking cal arts thesis, no sh*t.
